The Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District provides the South Shore Line as an alternative form of transportation for commuters, locals and other patrons in the Chicagoland and Northern Indiana area.
NICTD needed a strategic plan to stop decline in its off-peak ridership. We created a brand personality for the South Shore Line to better resonate with an off-peak audience and implemented the brand via an integrated media strategy.
- Maintains a relationship with more than 8,000 riders through social media and its database
- Continues to grow this audience at a roughly 35% annual rate.
- New website traffic continues to increase by a yearly average of 78%.
- And most importantly, ridership numbers are seeing a positive change.
